The present utility model relates to the technical field of construction materials. In particular, the utility model is a humidity-responsive architectural material comprising of an active layer with high hygroscopicity and a passive layer with low hygroscopic properties, wherein said active layer consists of wood from Tanguile (Shorea polysperma) and wherein said passive layer consists of a fiberglass cloth and a two-part epoxy binder to laminate the glass fiber to the active wood layer. The present utility model can improve thermal comfort by neutralizing humidity to desired levels and by improving ventilation indoors.
